Beth's Story
Beth has been married to her husband Jeff for almost 34 years. They have 3 adult children and recently moved to Cumberland, VA, where Jeff is starting a residential recovery program for men who struggle with addiction.
Beth has worked in the social work field for over 25 years, and has been a pastor’s wife and led women’s ministry for many years. She received her certification as a Spiritual Director through Richmond Hill in Richmond, Virginia, and also has training in life-coaching and inner healing.
Spiritual direction is the practice of being with others as they endeavor to deepen their relationship with Jesus. Beth was led to the practices of contemplative prayer, silence and solitude as ways to deepen her own spirituality, and finds joy in listening and companioning with others as they share their stories and the ways they see God at work in their lives. Beth enjoys reading (her favorite authors are Ruth Haley Barton and Henri Nouwen) and loves to be outside.
